Being a MUSKETEER

musketeer

Whilst the pikemen get their "kick" from the physical side of combat, musketeers get theirs from their ability to perform the intricate drills of seventeenth century warfare and from making loud bangs.

The requirement for safety and legals considerations mean musketeers are dedicated reenactors. The regiment is always searching for new musketeers and will do whatever it can to help you get ready to take the field.

The Musket block is peopled by a bunch of pyromanicas who like making loud noises and evil smells. Anyone who doubts this need only look a the innane grin on any musketeers face after sucessfully firing his/her weapon.

Musketeers must be aware at all times that they are carrying a "real weapon", and thus must be safety conscious. To be a Musketeer you will need a Shotgun certificate and a Black Powder License, both from the police, and you will be required to prove your competancy with the weapon before being allowed onto the battlefield.

Once you have achieved all this you will be taught how to drill and operate with the other members of the musket block. You will be indoctrinated into the arcane practices of those who revel in the use of Gunpowder.
